The canvas is 187 cm high and 108 wide, it represents saint Bruno founder of the order of the certosini monks near Vibo Valentia, after his death in 1101 the town was called after him.  The painter Venanzio Pisani and the bishop Mons. Bruno tedeschi , who commissioned the painting were both of Serra San Bruno
