The pix in gilded silver was used in the cathedral to keep the sacred Host. The art object presents commissioned by monsignor Cilento, as testified by the coat of arms three angels at the base, carrying objects referring to the passion of Christ ( a cross, a crown of thorns and a ladder) the pyx  presents the coat of arms of Monsignor Cilento that donated it to the Cathedral
